Welcome to Barn Owls class page
We are a class of twenty four Year 3 and Year 4 children.
Our class teacher is Mrs Lucking. We are lucky to also have several other adults who help us learn.
Mrs Shanks is our classroom assistant in the mornings and Mrs Taylor and Mrs Curston help several of us with our english and maths lessons. Mrs Robson-Parker helps us on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
We are taught art and D.T by Mrs Brown, music by Mrs Johnson and Mrs Wacey takes us for P.E.
We have a lovely, cosy log cabin as our classroom and are lucky enough to regularly see a beautiful barn owl fly over the neighbouring fields!
Spring Term 2016:
Our topic this term is Volcanoes, Rocks and Fossils.
How Hill Year 3/4 Residential March 2016:
Some of us spent a wonderful three days at How Hill in the Norfolk Broads with children from West Raynham and Colkirk Church of England Primary Academies.
We enjoyed exploring the woodland, marshland and river habitats, played environmental games, tried our hands at orienteering, got very muddy dyke dipping and enjoyed the sunshine on a boat trip through the reedbeds.
We also tried a lot of new crafts such as weaving, clay tile making and watercolour painting.
Evacuees for the Day:
As part of our topic on World War 2, we were evacuated on the North Norfolk Poppyline. We all looked amazing in our 1940's clothes and really enjoyed being transported back in time for the day.
We were evacuated on a steam train, tried on gas masks, survived an air raid, made our lunch from rations and had a 1940's singsong in the Women's Institute!!
